Activate launches new brand and eyes growth in Australasian market

AUCKLAND, 17 July, 2006: The launch today of a dedicated website for self-provisioning IT product, Activate, is part of a wider marketing initiative that aims at capitalizing on recent sales success to establish a bigger footprint in Australasia.

Activate director Shaun Blackmore says his immediate business development plans are centred on enterprise organizations within New Zealand and Australia.
 
“Over the last 12 months we have gathered considerable momentum thanks to the product meeting an unfulfilled niche in the domestic provisioning market.”
 
Since its launch in July 2005 the New Zealand owned and developed software has enjoyed rapid success and is now installed at a number of blue chip customers including Air New Zealand, Works Infrastructure, Auckland District Health Board.
 
Blackmore believes there is considerable demand for a self-provisioning product like Activate offshore and he is fielding strong interest from a range of large organizations.

Blackmore says that Activate’s proposition is unique within the identity and access management market.
 
“Provisioning a user with day-to-day computer needs should be delegated to the most cost-effective resource, which in most cases is the user himself. I think this is a philosophy that will gain traction in Australia, where many identity management projects focus on complex back-end solutions.”
