• Exchange Server
  The exchange server is often specified on the 'Location Role' the provisioning system will then allocate the user to the specified Exchange Server. It may round-robin users across all user mailbox stores or may allocate the user to a specific store based on the users LastName of some other rule.
• Home or Profile Server
  Specify the server to store the users home or profile drive on. Allocate to different shares based on loading or last name.
• Group Membership
  Add users to distribution lists or folder Access

Implementation Process

Activate User Manager is designed to be easy to install and implement. The following is a simple overview of the steps required to install Activate User Manager.

1. Install Activate Server
2. Define available locations and import
3. Define available departments and import
4. Match existing users to departments and locations from HR or external data and import
   
   Optional Steps
5. Automatically analiyze existing group membership and determine common groups for seeding initial Role Entitlements
6. Automatically optimize entitlements to flow defaults to the highest level in the Role hierarchy. 

Typical Installation time does vary depending upon the size and complexity of the customers environment. Installation onto an installed Windows 2003/2008 server with all prequites takes about 2-3 hrs.
